Monthly Community Update from Sgt Andy Williams – August 2026

Hello All

I hope this message finds you well. As we move through August, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

Youth Anti-Social behaviour in Haverfordwest and Fishguard

Shoplifting in Haverfordwest and Fishguard

Illegal use of E-Scooter and Scrambler bike use.

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

Pembrokeshire County Council Housing, Noise Pollution Teams and Licensing as we look to tackle Community Issues, including ASB and Retail Crime.

Pembrokeshire's Youth Justice Team - referring many youths through the local prevention programme to get them on the right path.

Pembrokeshire's Roads Policing Unit, using technology to hi-light hotspots for vehicle ASB and also intelligence gathering to tackle drink/drug drivers.

ATEB - Joint patrols carried out in Three Meadows, Haverfordwest

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.

Steal and Be Banned Scheme - Phase 1 being rolled out in Haverfordwest with local businesses signing up to scheme.

Targeted patrols of Haverfordwest and Fishguard Town Centres to Tackle ASB and Retail Crime

Haverfordwest NPPT have supported OP LION with patrols across the division at Hotspot areas.
